Years ago, when we developed our RSX short shifter, we knew that the combination of quality parts and design would set the standard for shifting perfection. Now, we have reset the bar once again. With over 15 years of experience in shifter manufacturing and design, we have applied all of our resources to develop the next generation of shifting bliss.

The new V3 RSX Short Shifter not only sits on a stronger and lighter steel frame but the internal spring also keeps the motion totally fluid through all gears. The four-link design offers adjustable short and crisp shifts while keeping parts to the minimum.

When it comes to adjustability, our RSX shifter truly shines. Adjustments are a breeze and can give you many different options in terms of shift feel. With just the turn of a single 5mm allen wrench, you can adjust your shift knob to be 2" taller or 1" lower than stock. With the same allen wrench, you can adjust the knob position, bringing it closer to or further from the steering wheel, meaning you can shift quickly and keep your hands on the wheel. Want your shifts a little shorter? This shifter can reduce throw anywhere from 10% to 50% (below stock throw). Gate spacing (left-right shifter motion) is also adjustable. This means that if you like short throws and wide gates, long throws, and narrow gates, or any other combination, you can custom tailor it to your preference.

One glance at our RSX shifter reveals a design that cuts no corners. The base plate is made from formed and welded A6 steel that is lighter and stronger than the outgoing model. The links feature full 6061-T6 aluminum construction with stainless steel ball bearings that are designed to provide quiet operation with no need for lubrication. The shift levers are made from stainless steel to avoid unsightly corrosion. The internal spring can also be swapped our for something stiffer/lighter so you can set the level of resistance you prefer.

We started our design process by incorporating the features that have made our other k-series shifters popular...adjustable height, adjustable shift knob position, and independently adjustable throw and gate spacing. We were the first to deliver features like this when we released our k-swap shifter over 5 years ago, and we have been refining our designs ever since. We wanted to develop a shifter that felt great even after years of use and abuse. With that in mind, we incorporaThe performance of a shifter is everything. At Hybrid Racing, we take our shifters seriously. When we began designing our RSX shifter, we wanted to deliver a product that outperformed all othted a proprietary wear-compensating pivot ball design. We also used teflon-lined end links and spherical bearings to provide silky smooth short shifts and plenty of durability. To ensure everything worked as intended, we built a custom machine that cycled the shifter through all of the gears over 1.5 million times. To make sure we were leading the pack, we even put competing shifters on the same rig. No competing shifter lasted more than 10% as long as ours without seeing severe, performance hindering wear.

 

When it comes to adjustability, this RSX shifter truly shines. Adjustments are a breeze and can give you many different options in terms of shift feel. With just the turn of a single 5mm allen wrench, you can adjust your shift knob to be 2" taller or 1" lower than stock. With the same allen wrench, you can adjust the knob position, bringing it closer to or further from the steering wheel, meaning you can shift quickly and keep your hands on the wheel. Want your shifts a little shorter? This shifter can reduce throw anywhere from 10% to 50% (below stock throw) by just loosening the cable retaining bolt with a 10mm wrench and repositioning it. Gate spacing (left-right shifter motion) is also adjustable. This means that if you like short throws and wide gates, long throws and narrow gates, or any other combination, you can custom tailor it to your preference. The custom bell-crank style rocker design allows a larger adjustment range than competing shifters without putting your cables at risk of extreme angles, which is why many short throw adapters damage OEM cables.

 

A quick look at the materials used on our RSX shifter reveals a design that cuts no corners. The base plate is made from formed and welded A6 steel with dimpled holes to improve rigidity. The rockers feature full 6061-T6 aluminum construction with oil-impregnated bronze bushings that are designed to provide quiet operation with no need for lubrication. The shift levers are made from stainless steel to avoid unsightly corrosion. Even the centering springs received special attention when we had them custom wound and installed inside of a rubber sleeve to cut down on noise during shifts.

Hybrid Racing Shift Knob

 

Grabbing the gear lever in your car is a great feeling, except when your knob isn't comfortable. We wanted to develop a knob that was not only lightweight and great looking but also fit into the palm of your hand comfortably. After countless designs and 3d prints later, we chose the overall shape based on the best ergonomic design from all of the designs. The Maxim Shift knob is machined from a solid 6061 aluminum billet round bar in a four-axis lathe. We then treat the surface with a proprietary sandblasting media to get a perfect surface finish. Next, it is treated to a 3 step anodizing process. Finally, we laser etch the part number and logos with a YAG laser that evaporates the dye from the anodize resulting in a crisp white logo and part number that is subtly placed on the knob so not to detract from the fantastic finish. All of this combined results in an incredible fit and finish that is a joy to look at while maintaining the strength necessary for spirited driving.

Hybrid Racing Performance Shifter Cable Bushings Integra DC5 Type R / HYB-SCB-01-02

 

The Hybrid Racing shifter cable bushings are a cost-effective, simple way to add that crisp feel that you associate with a solid feeling shifter. Don't be fooled into thinking that all shifter cable bushings are created equal. Many companies make the mistake of assuming both bushings used in stock shifter cables can be replaced with solid metal or Delrin bushing. However, this is not the case. Honda uses rubber bushings in their cables because it's a cost-effective way to allow 2-degrees of freedom. A solid metal or Delrin bushing allows only 1-degree of freedom. Generally speaking, eliminating a degree of freedom in the bushings translates into more effort required to shift and the potential to bend and ruin your shifter cables.

 

That's why the Hybrid Racing shifter cable bushing incorporates a chrome-plated steel spherical bearing into their shifter bushings. This bearing gives a crisp, notchy feel you expect from shifter bushings without the extra effort required to shift, like other brands of bushings. All shifter bushings are supplied with spiral retaining rings to hold them into the cables, along with stainless steel cotter pins to hold the cables to the transmission. The bushings are constructed from 6061 aluminum and are black anodized, for added protection from corrosion.

Hybrid Racing Performance Shifter Cables Integra DC5 Type R / & K-Swap Vehicles / HYB-SCA-01-05

 

The Hybrid Racing cables are a performance upgrade replacement for stock OEM cables. The solid rod ends, 30% thicker cable core and spherical bearings give the Hybrid Racing cables a firmer, tighter feel over OEM cables resulting in fewer missed shifts and a more connected feel to the chassis.

 

We created a cable to give people peace of mind and improved driving performance when they shift hard and during demanding racing applications and the Hybrid Racing performance cables achieve this goal!

 

Other notable features of the Hybrid Racing cables are spherical bearings, stainless steel push rods, and upgraded stainless steel swivel support tubes (oem are plastic) that are known to break on the OEM cables. All of the rod ends, and mounting bushings are CNC machined 6061 aluminum that have been heat treated and coated with a black hard anodized before being laser etched with the Hybrid Racing logo and flair.

 

Are these cables a direct replacement for my OEM RSX style cables?

 

Yes! For RSX Chassis the only extra work that is needed will be to retrofit the original cable gromment onto thew new HR cables. For K-Swap applications they run outside the car so no RSX grommet is neccesary. The OEM cable that controls the right/left motion of the shifter has been upgraded from a plastic twist-lock bushing to aluminum bushings and spring clip. This aluminum bushing simplifies installation a bit, but more importantly, it gets rid of yet another plastic part that tends to flex on the OEM cables, leading to a sloppy feeling shift. The extra spring clip that you will need to install the Hybrid Racing cables is included with the cables, so you will not need to buy any other parts. An easy to follow installation tips sheet is included with each set of cables to make installation as worry free as possible.

 

Additional K-Swap notes:

 

If you are using the Hybrid Racing cables on an OEM-style shifter mounted to a Karcepts adapter plate in a K-Swap chassis, you will need to widen the hole for the cable that is controlled by the front/back motion of the shifter where it goes through the Karcepts adapter plate. The hole needs to be widened to approximately 3/4" diameter. A stepped drill bit works well for doing this.

 

What is included with these shifter cables?

 

Aside from 2 shifter cables, each shifter cable set includes 4 cotter pins, and an "m" bracket for affixing the shifter cables to the chassis in K swap applications. If you are mounting these into an RSX, this bracket will not be needed. In addition, all shifter cables sets come with upgraded transmission gear selector springs. These aren't required but are reccomended.

Hybrid Racing Cold Air Intake System Integra DC5 Type R / RSX / HYB-CAI-01-14

 

Specific requirements, special design!

Designing an intake system with a set of guidelines isn't hard to achieve. However, building an intake system that not only fits every engine combination while allowing that setup to produce more power is. We chose to narrow that field and focus on what we consider to be the best recipe for power gains. With the success of our eighth generation Civic Si intake system we used what we learned and created this system for our fellow DC5 RSX owners.

 

Power is king!

Due to size constraints inside of the DC5 chassis, the intake system was restricted to a 3-inch design. Combined with our high-flow velocity air filter, this Cold Air Intake System has shown gains of up to 10% (5-10hp) across the powerband compared to a short ram system while significantly reducing intake air temperatures. Don't want to relocate your battery? No problem. The Hybrid Racing RSX intake allows for the battery to stay in the OEM location.

 

The intake requires a 70mm or larger throttle body and the RBC/RRC style intake manifolds. Fitment or compatibility with an OEM PRB intake is not guaranteed. Slight trimming of the LH inner fender lining is required and the removal or relocation of the OEM windshield washer bottle is needed. Alterations to cars running OEM Type R brake cooling ducts may be necessary. The included radiator hose fits the K20A/A2/A3/Z1 water neck. It may not fit the K20Z3/K24 water neck.

This Hybrid Racing Tucked Fuel Line is designed for RSX, EP3 and 8th Gen Civic Si owners looking for a reliable and durable way to tuck and clean up the appearance of your fuel feed line.

This kit replaces the OEM rubber lines with a -6AN braided line. It also replaces the plastic connectors with durable aluminum connections that will stand the test of time. The line connects to the OEM hard line at the firewall using a specially designed quick disconnect fitting. You can attach the line to the fuel rail using one of the AN fittings supplied with the line. Once installed, the new line will route between your number 2 and 3 runners and neatly hug the transmission as it snakes its way to the hard line at the firewall, giving your engine bay a cleaner, less cluttered appearance.

Unfortunately, stock fuel rails are not invited to the party as the OEM fuel rail lacks the proper ports for the new line. This kit is designed to work in conjunction with the Hybrid Racing Fuel Rail. If you order a Hybrid Racing Fuel Rail and this kit, you'll have everything you need to get your tucked fuel system setup. This kit will also work with any other aftermarket rail featuring a center port, although additional adapters may be required.

Hybrid Racing Throttle Body Adapter (HYB-TBA-01-70) for a 2002-2011 Acura and 2002-2011 Honda. Hybrid Racing 70mm TB RBC Adapter - FOR 70MM TB - All K-Series .

 

Fast becoming the first upgrade of the K series engine, the RBC manifold provides significant performance improvement over the stock PRB and PRC (Type S and Type R) intake manifolds.

 
To complete the intake manifold conversion, you need to couple the throttle body to the manifold – an adapter directly bolts a 2002-2006 RSX-S/ITR or 2002-2005 Civic Si/CTR throttle body to an Accord Euro R, 2006-2008 Civic Si, or 2004-2005 TSX intake manifold.
 
The adapter kit includes all mounting hardware required to attach the adapter to the intake manifold and the throttle body to the adapter. Two rubber plugs are included to fill the unused MAP sensor port, located on the RBC/RRB/RBB intake manifold, and the EVAP Purge Control Valve port, if needed to gain additional hood clearance.
 
Finally, the adapter kit includes 2 1/8" NPT ports to eliminate the need for vacuum T-offs or an auxiliary vacuum spacer -- 1/8" NPT plugs are included and pre-installed for those who may not have an immediate use, but desire a vacuum/boost option in the future.
